About the darling tree
I'm a freelance graphic and web designer based on the Gold Coast, Australia. Having worked in branding, web and software companies for some years I've been able to experience the design world from several different perspectives. My experience has taught me that there's nothing quite so rewarding as the finished product which emerges after working closely with a client in a creative and personal way. I made the decision to go freelance so I can offer that personal level of service to every client.
For as long as I can remember I've been fascinated by art and drawing and have played around with fabrics and sewing. This led me to complete a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Graphic Design, at the Queensland College of Art, before spending a few years working in various aspects of the graphic design industry.
As you will see from my portfolio, I have a particular fondness for a style that's fun and feminine, yet always highly professional. My clients are businesses and expect results, flexibility and versatility, and they appreciate my comprehensive, customised approach. I design brands, not just logos, and I specialise in designing online businesses, not just websites.
It seems like the world keeps moving faster and faster. While larger companies are sending out their latest press release with your name and customer number stamped at the top, more and more people are looking for the friendly, familiar face of an actual human to trust with their business. There are some things that can only be done by a real person who has time to get to know their individual customers. Design is one of them.
