Welcome to the March edition of The Darling Newsletter.
After updating my own Darling Tree website for the start of the year, I have been working on some exciting projects for clients in the past few months. I’d like to share some of these with you, including Cheska Paintings, Beez Images & Designs and Nerd Up Your Baby.
The Darling Tree has also partnered with Adobe Business Catalyst to provide online solutions for businesses and I can help create a trial site for you. I also have a copy of The Smashing Book, compiled from popular articles on The Smashing Magazine website, to give away.
And I put together a list of some of my favourite blogs and websites right now and would love you to share your sources of inspiration with me.

ONLINE BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP
The Darling Tree has partnered with Adobe Business Catalyst to provide small and medium businesses with an all-in-one online solution.
Adobe Business Catalyst allows you to manage your website, write a blog, start a forum, run an online shop, create email marketing campaigns and build a customer database. You can also use the online reports to analyse and improve your business’ results. This is a great system and one that I would recommend businesses looking for a solution to cover all their online requirements.

NEW DESIGNS BY THE DARLING TREE |
I have been hard at work in The Darling Tree headquarters creating some spectacular designs for my clients and I’m pleased to be able to show you some of the work I’ve done recently.
CHESKA PAINTINGSLaunching soon is the online store created for Gold Coast artist Cheska Paintings. Her artwork is produced using an interesting technique involving no physical contact with her brush, but by dripping paint on to the canvas. The Cheska Paintings website is minimal and professional, designed to highlight her amazing pieces. |
BEEZ IMAGES & DESIGNSA gorgeous vintage inspired theme was created for the Beez Images & Designs portfolio and blog which launched recently. Beata's work focuses on childhood photography and the images she captures are simply stunning. |
NERD UP YOUR BABYContinuing with the children’s and ecommerce themes, the new website for Nerd Up Your Baby was launched late last year. Nerd Up Your Baby features a cute range of niche products for geeky babies, inspired by Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek and other nerdy games, films and TV shows. |
DARLING FAVOURITES
MY MILK TOOFThe adventures of baby teeth, ickle and Lardee, is great for some lunchtime distraction; the imaginative storytelling, using creative photography and simple captions, is adorable and very enjoyable. Find out what they are up to lately at My Milk Toof. |
MAKING IT LOVELYThis blog features all you need to start planning projects for your own home, from tiny tasks to others on a much grander scale. Nicole Balch's Making It Lovely blog is filled with the best ideas, colours and patterns and she documents everything she does, along with other design inspirations, for readers. |
500 PENCILS500 Pencils captured my imagination because I think it is a fantastic marketing idea - sending out 25 pencils over 20 months to complete a huge 500-pencil collection. I have just bought a subscription and can't wait to show them off in the Aurora display in my office. Better than any painting I believe! |
